On Normandy beaches our soldiers fought
For America's freedom so dearly bought.
Each one gave sweat, tears, and even life
Winning their generation's greatest strife.
Thousands their lives in Normandy laid down
Consecrating every inch of ground
So that we might enjoy our independence
From any dictator's belligerence.
Never the fallen soldiers will forget
Their story in our memory etch.
To these soldiers we give our gratitude
For our daily freedoms in plentitude.
